Bellamy Young
Young first began her acting career as a theatre actor. She made her Broadway debut on Broadway in the year 1997 when she played Mary as the lead actress in the musical The Life. The show also featured her off-Broadway performance in Stephen Sondheim's Merryly We Rolled Along (1994), as well as Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 until 1996). [3][10] She debuted in the television world in 1995 with the character Dr. Courtney Evans. She was a part of Law & Order as a guest star in two roles in 1997 and in 1998. The film debut came in 1999 with a minor role in Black and White. In the years following, she appeared in several independent movies. Then, in the late 2000s Young began appearing as the guest actor on a number of television dramas and comedy series, like The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young has been featured on more than thirty television series between 2000 and 2011. Young was one of the regular actors on Peacemakers the USA Network television series that aired in 2003. Peacemakers was pulled after one season of nine episodes. The actress played the role of the role of Deputy Dist. in The Lifetime show For the People. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC time-drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003, on NBC's Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 and as the Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and in the ABC primetime soap opera Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family. She also appeared on the show in 2011 as the role of Beth Clemmons on Criminal Minds.
